The Small Business Website Checklist for West Michigan Owners

If you own a small business in Zeeland, Holland, Grandville, or anywhere in the greater Grand Rapids area, your website is often the first impression a customer gets before they call. Here's the short list of what to have ready before you start a build.

1. A clear one-line description of what you do and who you do it for. "Family-owned landscaping in Ottawa County" beats "premium outdoor solutions" every time.

2. Your service area. Real customers search "near me" — naming Zeeland, Hudsonville, Grand Rapids, or the specific towns you cover helps Google put you in front of them.

3. Real photos. Even a few phone photos of your team, your work, or your storefront outperform generic stock images. If you don't have any yet, that's fine — we can start without and swap them in later.

4. Contact info you actually check. A phone number that rings your cell, an email you read daily, and (optional) online booking.

That's it. No 40-page brand brief, no logo mood board. Bring the basics and I'll do the rest.
